Welcome to Storysea. By accessing and using our website www.storysea.io ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.
Storysea reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on the Site. Your continued use of the Site constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Service Description
Storysea is a platform in development dedicated to reading and writing serialized fiction, including fanfiction. Currently, the Site operates as an informational page and registration for our beta waitlist.
The functionalities described on the Site (reading, writing, character chat, social features) are not currently available and will be launched in future phases.
3. Waitlist Registration
3.1 Eligibility
To register for our waitlist, you must:
- Be at least 14 years old
- Provide a valid email address
- Accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy
3.2 Information Provided
By registering, you warrant that:
- The email address provided is yours and is correct
- You will not register multiple times with different emails to gain unfair advantage
- You will not use temporary or fraudulent email addresses
Storysea reserves the right to remove registrations it deems fraudulent or duplicate.
3.3 Beta Invitations
Waitlist registration does not guarantee access to the Storysea beta. Invitations will be sent gradually based on availability and internal criteria that may include:
- Registration order
- User profile
- Server capacity
- Product development phase
We are not obligated to invite all registrants or to do so within a specific timeframe.
4. Acceptable Use of the Site
You agree to:
- Use the Site only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to access restricted areas of the Site
- Not interfere with the security or functioning of the Site
- Not collect information from other users without their consent
- Not use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools without authorization
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Site Content
All content on the Site, including but not limited to:
- Text, images, design, and code
- The "Storysea" name and associated logos
- The tagline "Where stories find their people"
Is owned by Storysea or its licensors and is protected by copyright laws and other intellectual property laws.
5.2 Limited Use
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site solely for informational and personal registration purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute Site content without authorization
- Use Storysea's name, logo, or brand without written permission
- Create derivative works based on the Site
5.3 Third-Party Content
The Site displays images of public domain artworks (Ivan Aivazovsky, Asta Norregaard, Ivan Kulikov, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Peder Severin Kroyer, Frank K. M. Rehn). These images are used under public domain and are not owned by Storysea.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." Storysea does not warrant that:
- The Site will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Defects will be corrected
- The Site is free of viruses or other harmful components
- The Storysea platform will launch as anticipated or at all
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Storysea shall not be liable for:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site
- Loss of data, profits, or opportunities
- Failures in beta invitation delivery
- Delays or cancellation of platform launch
8. Third-Party Links
The Site contains links to third-party services (Discord, Pinterest, Instagram). These links are provided solely for your convenience. We do not control or endorse these external sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Service Cancellation
Storysea reserves the right to:
- Suspend or cancel platform development at any time
- Remove your waitlist registration if you violate these Terms
- Modify planned functionalities without prior notice
10. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. We recommend reading it.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute related to these Terms or use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona, Spain.
If you reside in the European Union, you also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Storysea regarding use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements.

16. Specific Provisions for Beta (Future)
Once Storysea launches its full platform, additional Terms of Use will be implemented covering:
- Content creation and publishing
- Social interactions and character chat

- Copyright and user-generated content licenses
- Community conduct rules
- Moderation and reporting procedures
All beta users will be notified of these additional terms before launch and must accept them to use the full platform.
